Once in a while, we get the opportunity to meet a couple that reaches out to us last minute to help them put together the final details of their day. They worked so hard planning absolutely everything down to the finest detail, but have a moment of panic that its not going to go as well as without someone watching over it all.
A&P came to us 4 short weeks before their big day to get us to coordinate their intimate affair and triple check that they got what they need to do all done. We couldn’t have been happier to float in and give that sense of relief to them that everything will be perfect. And perfect it was! The incredibly talented Kim from Maru Photography captured the day exactly as we remembered it in our minds, and all the happy feels come rushing back every time we cruise through the album. These two really left an impression in our hearts and we are so excited to share their day with you!
They chose the Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Vancouver to host their small wedding of the closest friends and family. It sparkled just like their personalities and provided the perfect romantic ambiance they were after.
Pretty, delicate boutonnieres for the groom and his very best man.
These two got ready in a separate hotel so that there was no chance of accidentally crossing paths before the wedding day. What a better way than to hang out with your best friend all morning before your wedding?
When we look at the detail shots, we really want to see the shoes, right?
A little help from moms talented hands
All ready to go…just a few more moments until the first look
First look magic! Love seeing the beyond romantic photos of the bride and groom…
It was raining on this day in early October, but that’s what backup plans are for! Covered urban places, like the library, created the perfect backdrop for stunning portrait shots.
The balloons were such a fun part of the photos!! How cute did they turn out??
Her bouquet was stunning and elegant, just like she is! What a perfect compliment it was to the gown, the veil, everything!
Wedding party photos are all done, I think its time for these two lovebirds to get married!
They wrote their personal vows in books so they could keep them for a lifetime – we were definitely shedding a few tears while they read them to each other!
The bride and groom celebrated with a rosé toast for all before walking back down the aisle. What a great way to begin the first moments of their marriage with all their family and friends!
The ballroom at the Shangri-La has a lavish feel to it, and the design was an immaculate fit! Pinks, golds, candlelight, hand written seating charts…just gushed luxury!
Rosé all day! The perfect guest favours to match the lavish gold and blush theme.
Plenty of food flowed all night long, from cocktail canapes, to plated dinner, late night snacks and candy buffets!
Cute little wedding cake!
One of the perks of having a smaller, intimate wedding is that everyone gets really into the speeches. The whole room was laughing, crying, and awe-ing along with the newlyweds.
“Thank you so very much for everything you did to make our big day go off without a hitch! I know we were a challenging bunch to wrangle and you somehow managed to get us to the altar on time which I swear was a miracle! Honestly, you were a god send and we could not have gotten through it all without you, our little wedding fairy” – A&P
