It was late in December when Elizabeth reached out to us, looking for a Vancouver based wedding planner to help her and her fiancé plan their big day from afar. They were both based in Winnipeg and both had very active lives with their careers and needed someone to guide them through the complex world of wedding planning. They needed someone to bring their dream day to life. As the months of planning went along, it was essential that their friends and family (so many of whom were flying into Vancouver) get the real Pacific North West experience and we made sure they got it!
The grand day began to take its form as a romantic garden getaway at the end of July, taking place in a beautiful white tent at the Museum of Anthropology. This served as a fantastic spot to showcase where the mountains, city, and ocean all meet. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a gorgeous wedding that had so many moving parts and to work with such a dynamic team who made each personalize detail shine.
Ready for its debut! Just look at all those details in the sunlight – isn’t it splendid?
When the butterflies sink in that this is all so real!
With all the hair and makeup done, and a few more getting ready photos, time to slip into the dress
All ready to go and become a Mrs!
Such a beautiful church! Love the grandness of it, and how welcoming it is in the summer air
Which such gorgeous churches we are blessed with, just a little freshness on the aisle is all a space like this needs…pretty pink roses and a bundle of greens!
As planners, we are right there beside you to make sure you are flawless before you walk down that aisle, as well as your loved one. Even little things, like making sure your bouquet is being held correctly and dad has his cellphone on silent, are all on our radar!
Train pulled out, veil straight – walking the beautiful red carpet to her future hubby!
He has been waiting patiently all morning it see his incredible bride – and he finally has her in front of him
And after a few tears, laughs, and a kiss, they are officially married!
After the ceremony, a limo whisked away the wedding party to a nearby park for their formal photos. I can’t even explain how perfect this day was!
Goals photo, don’t you think?
The bouquets for the bridal party were designed to match the theme of the day and had a beautiful summertime mix of silver dollar, garden roses, spray roses, and lisianthus
These two are the most beautiful couple together – it was hard just choosing a few photos to brag about!
When your group isn’t afraid to let loose and get a little silly – anyone ready to party yet??
Our favorite sweetheart table of the year by far. Did you know we custom built this wood arbor? We decked out the bride and grooms personal table with plenty of greenery and fresh blooms to pair with their crisp white linen and soft drape
A polariod guest book is a perfect and fun way for guests to capture the day and send their personalized wishes to the bride and groom. We placed the toss bouquet on the table and voila! Perfect finishing touch!
The guest tables were kept clean, simple, and beautiful. We really wanted to accentuate the gardens and lush area of the museum, so we used season greens and florals, with touches of gold. As the sun set over the water beyond the trees, the candlelight and overhead globe lighting provided plenty of warmth and ambiance for this summer night
Edge Catering provided the incredible plated dinner for the evening, which started off with the most refreshing amuse-bouche! Perfect little bite for a summer wedding. The main menu featured dishes that highlighted the city and its unique connection to the land and sea in the PNW
Oh so sweet! Loved the gorgeous cake from Soirette that was finished off perfectly with fresh blooms!
The party only begins when the bride and groom arrive!
Did we already mention how much we love sweetheart tables? This is another reason why!! Swooning over this kiss
Sneaking off during dinner for some sunset photos
The shoe game is a wedding classic we never get sick of – everyone was in stitches!
A beautiful choreographed dance goes a long way
After the bouquet toss, garter toss, and surprise gelato station in a custom ice bar…the entire day went off without a hitch thanks to the incredible team we had the pleasure of working with! There is nothing more heart-warming then the endless thank you’s from guests, family, and the bride and groom at the end of the night as you make sure everyone makes it home safe. The night sky was absolutely stunning that night, and we thanked our lucky stars that we get to wake up and do what we love every single day.
