If we could wake up everyday and create something beautiful, our hearts would be full and happy. H&C’s wedding is a perfect example of that. Working with the couple to design and create their romantic and intimate wedding day was such a joy! They were having their ceremony and reception at Capilano Golf and Country Club in North Vancouver…if you haven’t been there or considered it for a venue, you should! This grand tudor manor, has a grand richness about it and perfectly fits the late 1930’s era. We wanted to illuminate the history of the building but keep it modern and timeless, so we stuck with soft colors to balance with the dark wood, as well as crisp greenery and bold burgundy for added depth. To top it off, we added a few antiqued elements to tie it all together. They day could not have been more gorgeous!
The bride and groom opted for a first look overlooking the water so they could share that moment with themselves. The bride helped the groom fix his boutonniere to his jacket, and this magical photo happened!
How beautiful are they?
The groom and his groomsmen, looking quite dapper!
Stunning ladies deserve stunning bouquets! These designs were created with dahlias, garden roses, anemones, eryngium and a beautiful variety of greenery.
Wedding party goals right here! Loving the mix of soft colors and how a bold color, like burgundy, can be such a sweet accent tone.
They have waited all day to be right here, with each other, soon to be husband and wife.
The first kiss is what dreams are made of!
Married and on cloud nine!
One more private photo session before dinner begins! The lighting is just so soft and gorgeous.
A hand-written seating chart by an expert calligrapher…how gorgeous is this first impression before guests walk into the reception room?
We created a tablescape design that tied in all the colors of the day, from rich greens to organic whites and deep burgundy. With a more elegant, but antique style, we added floating candles in delicate glass pedestals, mercury glass vases and votives, and perfectly matching antique charger plates.
Little wedding cake for the bride and groom, and cupcakes for all! We loved this little dessert table – it was just so charming! We supplied some fresh flowers so the cake could match perfectly with the theme!
A simple white backdrop doesn’t have to be boring – adding in globe lighting and floating greenery created such a warm glow to the room, made it feel larger, and looked stunning in photos! The headtable itself continued to carry the overall theme, and once the wedding party bouquets were added, there was so much to look at from every angle.
Based on these smiles, and the feedback we received, it sounds like the day was an absolute dream! Thank you again, H&C, for letting us be a special part of your day!
