It was such an honor to have this wedding published on the Wedlux blog this time last year, and it was one we will never forget. We came on as full planning and design from the very beginning – right from when the hotel itself was still being built. We were doing site visits in vests, hard hats and steel toe boots!! L&J had a dream to be the first wedding to happen at one of Vancouver’s newest locations, and we were happy to be the team to bring it to life. Logistically, we had a few extra hoops to jump through. Design wise, we had a few more blooms to handle (over 5000!!). Dreams do come true, and this lavish, floral filled wedding was nothing short of a dream come true.
Working with a brand new hotel is every planner and designers dream!
All guests were greeted with ivory draped entrances, complete with fresh floral tie backs. Custom monograms are a must in our books – it was incorporated throughout the wedding (leading up to and including the day itself!) and really created a classy, royal look. To top it off, a handwritten seating chart for the perfect grand entrance…and brilliant selfie!
Creative guest books are always a big hit…and to have a guest book you can reuse with your loved ones when they come to visit really is the best!
This chuppah was draped in beautiful blush, and fresh flowers danced all down the front. Acrylic pedestals, glass vases, floating candles, rose petals and arrangements lined the custom-made aisle runner all the way the front. Any bride would want to walk down this aisle!!
Sparkling charger plates, gorgeous centerpieces, and matching speciality linens made each and every guest table just as special as the next.
How cute are these guest favors? Candy love for all!
This cake was really one of several masterpieces in the reception ballroom. Hand painted, custom designed, intricately detailed…a true statement of gorgeousness and the talents of one of our favorite cake artists.
It was important to the bride and groom that their families felt just as important as the wedding party itself. In addition to a beautiful sweetheart table, bridesmaids table, and groomsmen table, the beloved families got their own dramatic harvest table setup with lavish treatment.
The headtable featured a stunning fresh floral waterfall, arrangements, candlelight, and a backdrop to ‘wow’! More draping, with hanging framed flower walls, chandeliers and more flowers…the list keeps going on!
The wedding day itself ran as smooth as butter – we had a team of nearly 30 companies and individuals who helped bring this day to life…all bringing their own talents and skills to the table. We developed a very detailed and intricate timeline for this one of a kind day, and everything ran flawlessly and right on time. Before the doors opened to the reception, we gave a sneak peek of the space, and they couldn’t their eyes! Thank you, L&J, and congratulations!
