When Tania and Oren first approached us, they were a California based couple who were looking at getting married in their hometown of Vancouver and needed a Vancouver based wedding planner to plan their elaborate day. After a few Skype meetings, and deciding with their family which venue would be the best fit for their backgrounds, we finally met in person!
Right off the bat, we knew we were the perfect fit for each other and that planning this wedding would be both adventurous and wildly creative! We scheduled a two day long ‘marathon of meetings’ of all the fun things…menu tastings, floral and décor designing, stationery designing…you name it, we did it all! Niche Boutique Florals also ended up being the décor and floral team for this creative wedding for 200. The party was just as lively as the décor! This wedding hit us quite personally, as their families were so warm and inviting, and took the extra time to teach us as much as they could about Jewish traditions and their family history. Never once was I allowed to purchase my own coffee or pastry (the father of the bride wouldn’t allow it!) and it’s the kind of client relationship that quickly turned into a friendship.
The groom had some fantastic details to show off for the day – can’t forget to catch some snapshots of them!
Violet Grey Creative designed their stunning wedding invitations for them, and since the bride had a background in graphic design, she used it as inspiration to do her own DIY wedding day stationery!
Some dress love!
The morning was spent getting hair and makeup done with her family by her side
Those few moments before the first look are always so electric!
The awe and love for her is so clear in his eyes – swoon!
Not pictured – she ran up and jumped ONTO him because she was so excited to see him!!
How cute are they?
Pretty garden portraits gave them lots of time alone before the festivities begin
This greenery chuppah was the focal point of the whole ceremony. A stunning masterpiece that created the perfect ceremony ambiance.
After the ceremony, the couple took pictures with all their friends and family that traveled great distances to see them. This bouquet was part of many photos and smelled as incredible as it looked!
Over in the ballroom, we took the opportunity to use the space to our advantage, and designed a floorplan incorporating different sized round and square tables. Each table sported a unique mix of centerpieces, ranging from candelabras to compote arrangements to gold terrariums…each with plenty of candle light and florals
Pretty lounges to rest any aching dancing feet!
Bright purples, sparkling gold, and garden inspired blooms created this lively look. It matched beautifully with the wood walls, high ceilings, and massive windows.
After the grand entrance, T&O went right into their first dances with each other…
…which flowed perfectly into the hora! All this dancing before dinner, too! You should have seen the dancing after dinner was all done…it went into the early hours of the morning!! Now that’s a party.
‘We can’t thank you enough for being our north star in the process of planning our wedding. You have truly enabled us to reach the potential of our vision of our most important day. Your strong sense of responsibility and your impeccable organization really relieved our stress…thankyou for your hard work, from our evening skype calls to the day of our wedding!’ – T&O
